Leanna Collins

Owner and Entertainment Director

From bringing in renowned jazz musicians to scouting and hosting local Michigan bands and artists to performing herself, Leanna is the heart and soul of Torch Lake Café’s live music scene.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Leanna’s love and innate talent for music became apparent in her early childhood piano lessons. From there, she went on to become a talented guitar and vocalist performing both as a soloist and in ensembles throughout her formidable career in music. 

Torch Lake and the Torch Lake Cafe play a large role in Leanna’s life; after moving into her family’s Torch Lake cabin at the age of 15, Leanna took a position cooking in what is now the Torch Lake Cafe kitchen, while building her music career performing at beloved local musical venues like Molly Malone’s. Throughout her career ranging from Mackinaw Island to the Cayman Islands, Leanna has worked with Shel Silverstein, sang with Rod Stewart, warmed up the Thompson Twins and Rory Block, sang with big bands and choirs, performed at festivals, weddings and appeared on radio and television programs.

Leanna lived and worked in Key West, Florida, for many years, and is overjoyed to be home in Torch Lake, turning the light back on at the corner of M88 and US-31. She is passionately dedicated to creating dynamic music events and loves nothing more than playing at the restaurant both with her band,

Ivan Greilick

Music has been a part of Ivan’s life for as long as he can remember. His childhood centered around music, learning to play the drums at age 5 and finding his lifelong passion for the guitar at age 10. As a teenager, Ivan began playing for live shows and that was when he knew he wanted to spend his life playing music.

Over the last 40 years, Ivan has recorded and toured with many artists and played many genres, including blues, early soul, R&B, rock, jazz, and country. Torch Lake Café is lucky to have Ivan’s talents live in our restaurant most Friday and Saturday nights.

Nick Vasquez

Residing just a few miles from Torch Lake Café, Nick Vasquez is a local musician with talents and experiences that reach far beyond what you’d simply find playing in your backyard! With a unique style and approach to a wide variety of your favorite songs, he delivers a surprising punch of anticipation that keeps you on the edge of your seat with each song that he plays.

Along with his music, Nick has a passion for his wife and young son as well as a heart to serve in the hospitality industry. From his engaging interaction with the crowd and the soulful sounds of his voice and guitar to helping a budding musician between sets and playing a tune or two for the kids in the crowd, you will experience all of those passions wrapped into every performance he does! Come check out Nick Vasquez, our “backyard gem,” every Thursday night from 7 PM to Close!

Lee Malone

Originally from Alden, Michigan, Lee Malone has been performing throughout Northern Michigan for over 40 years. Passionate about music of all genres and decades, Lee is a proud “musician, magician, and piano technician,” and always enjoys playing for audiences, whether on the piano, guitar, banjo, cello, saxophone or vocals. Lee is a regular of the Torch Lake Café music scene and looks forward to seeing your face in the crowd.

Dominic Fortuna

An experienced, lifelong performer, Dominic’s natural camaraderie with audiences stems from his instinctual love of people, music, and theater. His worldwide musical experience includes playing for millions on NBC’s “You’re The One That I Want” and Fox’s “Your Big Break,” to the Broadway stage alongside American Idol winners and even in national commercial voice-overs. Wherever he is playing, Dominic’s skill and fun-loving personality bring a unique excitement and flair to any event.

Torch Lake Café is excited to have Karaoke in Northern Michigan every Monday night from 7 PM to Close! With happy hour-type specials on pitchers of beer and well drinks, we’re sure you’ll have a great time!
