As a Server at The Torch Lake Café, you'll use your approachable nature and friendly smile to guide Guests through a fun and satisfying dining experience. It is up to you to ensure Guests are seated at a clean and properly set table, and are comfortable making menu suggestions. From there you will need to take their orders accurately, as well as serve their drink and food orders in a timely manner while using safe food and beverage handling skills.
As a Line Cook you will be required to learn the Torch Lake Café style of food preparation, which includes cutting, sautéing, broiling, frying and cooking various meals such as meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, salads and other ingredients. You will also need to follow a recipe book on Torch Lake Café foods and with food safety and cleanliness in mind, prepare food in a timely manner, all while keeping your tickets in order.
A busser serves patrons by setting tables; placing and replacing silverware; keeping beverage glasses full; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment.
This position is responsible for greeting guests at the door. The host/hostess seats and presents clean menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner.
The Head Bartender supervises and coordinate the other employees working in a bar. Typical work activities for the Head Bartender are preparing drinks, testing new recipes, ensuring that beverages are stored properly, enforcing safety regulations, scheduling bartenders, training bartenders, tracking inventory, and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate should demonstrate beverage preparation knowledge, dexterity, leadership, supervisory skills and organization.
We are looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.
